The deep strength and broad scope of our employee expertise allow us to offer a wide range of professional services. We truly do span the full "Bio-IT" spectrum from contract research and scientific software development to designing, deploying and tuning the high performance IT infrastructures required to support life science informatics.

It is not uncommon for BioTeam consultants to enjoy an industry-recognized reputation as "expert" in one or more technical disciplines while simultaneously maintaining high levels of skill and expertise across a broader range of the Bio-IT spectrum. Areas of expertise differ from consultant to consultant based on personal interests and previous employment. We let the talents of our team heavily influence the types of services we offer.

One of the most significant benefits of working with the BioTeam is realized within the first few rounds of communications regarding a potential project. We work extremely hard to match our expertise with client needs but occasionally we do encounter situations where specific needs may fall outside our areas of expertise. If, for any reason, we feel that a proposed project is not an excellent fit for our team we will be honest and upfront about the specific issues and will work diligently to find and recommend alternatives. Our mandate is to "do right" by our clients, even if that means referring potential business elsewhere.

Unlike some of the larger providers of professional services, we don't load up our sales team with impressive experts only to send junior staff with little or no experience onsite to perform the work once the sale has been made. The BioTeam consultants who work to gather requirements and put together project proposals are the same team members who will be responsible for delivery of a successful project.

Methodology

For large or small projects, our process methodology remains largely the same. After an initial inquiry is received, BioTeam will arrange a conference call or meeting in which to gather additional requirements and further refine project scope. One or more of our consultants will participate in this process beginning with the initial contact and will be responsible for documenting the needs, proposing a solution and defining project scope. Our sales staff then assists with discussions concerning pricing and calendar scheduling.

BioTeam is fast and flexible when needed, able to start work same-day or next day in some cases on projects where both parties can quickly agree on a statement of work (SOW). For larger and more complex projects, BioTeam will carefully construct a formal project proposal, complete with a detailed list of deliverables, implementation phases and final acceptance/testing criteria.

BioTeam communicates and coordinates project related efforts via a secure project management extranet created for each client.
